FAQs:
How Do I Change/Cancel My Booking?
All cancellations and rescheduling are handled through self-service. You may manage your appointment directly through your confirmation email by scrolling down and selecting “Cancel/Change.”
Changes cannot be made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Requests made within the 24-hour window will be subject to the cancellation policy.
For additional support, you may text (626) 515-2057 or email nhalabeauty@gmail.com. Reception and customer support is available during admin hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30am–2:30pm. Responses will be provided during this time.
Do You Have a Waitlist?
At this time, I do not have a waitlist. All cancellations and last-minute availability are shared on my Instagram Stories at @nhala. Turning on story notifications is the best way to stay updated and book quickly.
Do You Color Hair or Cut Extensions?
My suite is a dedicated non-toxic space, which means I do not offer chemical services such as color, toners, bleaching, perms, Brazilian blowouts, or similar treatments. I also have a personal intolerance to the harsh ingredients often found in these products, so for everyone’s comfort, I kindly ask that you avoid scheduling a chemical service on the same day as your appointment with me. If you’ve recently had a chemical service performed, please be sure your hair is thoroughly washed before your visit (especially within the last 24 hours).
At this time, I also do not offer extension haircuts. My approach is centered on celebrating your natural texture, with a focus on lived-in, razor-cut artistry that allows your hair to move and grow beautifully on its own.
How Do I Know If I Should Add Extra Time For Thick Or Long Hair?
If you have extra thick or extra long hair, there’s a good chance you already know. Many of my clients with thicker hair have been told by previous stylists that they require additional time for their services.
If you’re unsure, it’s always best to add the extra time when booking. This ensures we have enough space to work comfortably and create the best result possible.
Pricing is adjusted based on the actual time used during your appointment. If we don’t need the extra time, you won’t be charged for it.
Additional time is $20 per 15 minutes (or $40 for 30 minutes, etc.), and will only be applied if used.
Why Do You Not Take New Bang Trim Clients?
Bang trims are reserved for returning clients to ensure every service feels intentional and aligned.
For new clients, a 15-minute appointment simply isn’t enough time to create a thoughtful introduction. Finding the space, settling in, and getting to know your hair, lifestyle, and preferences all play an important role in achieving a result that truly fits you.
Creating a face frame or bang from scratch also requires more time and consideration, especially since it should complement the overall haircut. If I haven’t shaped the full haircut myself, a quick bang trim may not blend or enhance your current style in the way it’s meant to.
Additionally, I prioritize the flow of my full-service appointments. Bang trims are scheduled in very precise time windows, and even small delays can impact the rest of the day. Keeping these appointments reserved for returning clients helps ensure everything stays on time and each client receives the full, unrushed experience they deserve.
For the best result and experience, new clients are encouraged to book a full haircut for their first visit. From there, bang trims can be maintained in shorter appointments ✨
Do I Need A Conditioning Treatment?
If your hair is dry, previously colored/bleached, or a bit stressed, I HIGHLY recommend adding a conditioning treatment. This will give your hair the hydration and slip needed for razor cutting techniques.
Should I Come With Clean Hair?
It’s preferred, but not required. If you’re a new client, arriving with freshly washed, dry hair in its natural form helps me clearly read your texture, density, and how your hair mat respond to products. Heavy product and oil buildup isn’t ideal for sanitation and can limit how accurately I can assess your hair.
Clean, natural, and product-light is best — but perfection isn’t expected.✨
